I’ve always enjoyed being an image consultant. For me, no feeling compares to seeing the confidence that exudes from someone simply because they look great. Yet, I’ve found that this is only half of the story. How we feel on the outside directly affects how we feel on the inside, and the great thing is that this works both ways. 

We can all bring about a positive change in our lives by treating ourselves as a complete and integrated whole.

Feeling good on the inside can profoundly impact how we feel and present ourselves on the outside due to the interconnected nature of our thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. 

Feeling happy, content, or emotionally balanced internally often translates into positive emotions visible to others. We tend to smile more, have a more relaxed demeanor, and exude warmth and positivity.

However, life throws things at us that make this a struggle. We can often feel trapped within a given situation, which is very challenging to get out of. Life changes such as empty nesting, menopause, illness, divorce, or feeling a lack of fulfillment can take us to a place we have never been before, where we don’t know the rules.

By working on our inner selves, we can dismantle these new emotional and mental barriers and reclaim some thinking space for ourselves. Combining the therapies of hypnosis and counselling with NLP techniques can lead to a positive change from the core and beyond.

Internal well-being can help reduce stress and anxiety. When we are less stressed, our bodies release fewer stress hormones which can positively affect our appearance, such as improving skin conditions and reducing signs of aging. The mind and body are closely connected and our thoughts and emotions influence processes such as heart rate and blood pressure. So when we feel good in our mind, it can directly impact us physically, affecting our overall well-being, health, and appearance.

With true well-being, our confidence can soar, instilling faith in our abilities and self-worth, which becomes evident in our body language, posture, and overall demeanor.

Besides all of this, happiness is often said to be contagious. When we feel good on the inside and radiate positivity, others around us are more likely to respond positively, creating a feedback loop of happiness and improved outward appearances.

In the world of image consultancy, I’ve witnessed the transformation that goes beyond the surface. It’s not just about looking great; it’s about feeling great, inside and out. Life can throw us curveballs, leading us to unfamiliar territories, but I believe in the power of our inner selves to overcome these challenges. By nurturing our inner well-being, we can break down emotional barriers and create space for positive change.
